Friends of Auburn Library Membership

Updated 11/22/09

Friends of Auburn Library is a nonprofit organization supported by its members, and through regular fundraisers. Memberships are available at several levels. We welcome you to our meetings, and as a new member!

To read a PDF document, you need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader PDF software on your computer. If you don't have it installed, you may download it from the Adobe website. Adobe provides detailed instructions on downloading and installing its free PDF reader.

We are in the midst of our annual membership drive and the renewals are flowing into the FOL basket at the library. With our 176 Life members, our total is 363, as of June 12, 2009. If you haven’t renewed yet, please do so soon. We would love to reach our goal of 500 members!

Last year, the FOL gave the Auburn Library

  • $17,545 to purchase materials for the community to check out and enjoy
  • Over $4,585 for juvenile programs
  • Over $854 for adult programs
  • $2,000 for library staff inservice
  • Over $1,000 for maintenance of the microform equipment
  • Approximately $1,457 for community enrichment programs
  • $500 to the literacy program

We’re proud of the support we give, but would like to do even more. You can help us do that! Ask your friends and neighbors if they are members of FOL. If they aren’t, encourage them to join. And, you can always do what some of us do… give someone the gift of membership!

Welcome new members Rick & Kathy Bennett, Benjamin Edwards, Karlon Lemos, and Sarah & John Maddox!
