Program: “How to Prevent a Catastrophic Wild Land Fire in Placer County”
Kevin will outline a 12-step program that cities and counties can follow to prevent a catastrophic fire in their communities and that eventually leads to greater fire insurance availability and maintains home values.
Since 2000, Kevin has written over four hundred newspaper and magazine columns on local and state public policy issues. He is a co-founder and Chairman of the awardwinning Greater Auburn Area Fire Safe Council. For twenty-four years, Kevin worked as a Health and Insurance Chief Policy Consultant in the California Legislature, and served on the Auburn City Council from 2002 to 2014 and as Mayor. Kevin also served as CEO of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce and currently teaches Economics at the Butte-Glenn Community College District.
NOON Speaker Series is FREE and open to the public. We encourage you to bring a sack lunch and a friend and join us in the Beecher Room at the Auburn Library. The noon to 1pm event is always the first and third Fridays each month except in September and January (third only) and December (first only) from September to May.
